For those hunters interested in taking an impressive trophy, The Park has few equals in terms of providing extraordinary deer. The thousand acre deer park is situated in south-east England’s ‘High Weald’ – a designated ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’. The rolling contours of the land, interspersed with woods, streams and lakes, provide a beautiful setting for herds comprised of Père David, Red, Manchurian Sika, Fallow and Barasingha. Père David and Red deer provide the most popular trophies for visitors. The Park probably holds the world’s second largest herd of the once almost extinct Père David; whilst other hunters are attracted by the magnificent Red stags, often with heads boasting in excess of 20 points! It is by no means unknown for clients who have booked just one trophy, to be so amazed at the quality of the deer, that – on the spur of the moment – they have requested a hunt for a Sika or Fallow, in addition to the Père David or Red that they had initially come for! It should be noted that the Barasingha is CITES listed, and trophies cannot be imported to The United States. Trophy Deer at The Park Père David: optimum hunting season August to mid-October
Manchurian Sika: optimum hunting season mid-September to mid-March
Fallow: optimum hunting season mid-September to mid-March
Barasingha: optimum hunting season mid-September to mid-March
